Mr Bayne graduated from Aberdeen University and did his basic surgical training in Bath. His specialist orthopaedic training was in the Wessex region rotating through Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke and Winchester hospitals. Mr Bayne undertook a fellowship in Geelong in Australia, where he completed a research project on labral pathology inside the shoulder, among other projects. In 2012, Mr Bayne joined Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust and has worked at St. Hugh’s Hospital since 2014. Mr Bayne’s special interest is shoulder and elbow surgery including shoulder arthroplasty, rotator cuff repair and decompression of the shoulder. He also undertakes surgery for shoulder instability. Elbow surgery includes tennis elbow release, golfers elbow release, ulnar nerve decompression and elbow arthroscopies.
