Dr Bain’s areas of expertise are in general internal medicine and cardiology. He is particularly interested in heart failure and the medical management of atrial fibrillation but deals with all aspects of cardiological practice including coronary angiography and permanent pacing.

Description

Dr Bain graduated with a Science Degree Bsc (Zoology) and MSc (Visual neurophysiology) from Bristol and Manchester Universities before embarking on a medical career. He graduated from Liverpool University in 1980 and took up a consultant post in Grimsby in 1991. His main research area was in heart failure and he has published research in a number of journals and received his doctorate in this area. Whilst Dr Bain’s areas of expertise are in general internal medicine and cardiology, he is particularly intersted in the medical management of atrial fibrillation and in the management of heart failure.
Dr Bain’s current role is Consultant Community Cardiologist for the Care Plus Group, North East Lincolnshire. He was previously a Consultant Physician and Cardiologist at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby
